How often does Progressive Auto Insurance review their customers’ driving records?

I got a speeding ticket recently, and it’s the first I’ve had in years. I’m concerned that my insurance will go up a lot. However, a friend said that her insurance provider pretty much never reviews your driving record once you’re a customer, so unless you get in a accident, your rates won’t go up. Anyone know if Progressive is like this?
Progressive pulls your driving record at every renewal. They charge for every incident too.

Every time your policy comes up for renewal. Your friend is wrong.
However, one ticket with years of being clean with not make it go up a lot, some, perhaps, but not a lot.
Rates are set based on your risk factor, and traffic tickets are a good indicator of risk. According to your friend, you could have drunk driving convictions, speeding tickets, but because you didn’t have an accident, your insurance won’t know. See how ludicrous that is?

I think your friend isn’t quite right. Most Insurance companies, especially name Insurance Allstate/Geico/Liberty Mutual/Progressive,etc Do this like once a year at policy renewal time. If you have an accident they definitely check then

For car insurance the best way to get a fantastic rate is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same limits, car model, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.
What I most often recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have top name insurers and can give several prices on car insurance polices.
